ManiHomes, based in Stoupa, have gained a repution since 1992 as builders of quality homes for both Greek residents and overseas visitors.
Stoupa is situated on the Mani Peninsular, which forms part of the Peloponnese, approximately 40 kilometres from Kalamata airport. The Peloponnese is the most southerly part of the Greek Mainland. The area enjoys a mild climate throughout the winter which makes it an ideal place for retirement or a holiday home. The region is very fertile and only one kilometre from the beaches there are lush olive groves that flow up towards the beautiful Taygetos Mountains. The sweep of the land between sea and mountains means there are stunning views from all directions and on most days there are clear views across to Messinia the opposite peninsular, which is silhouetted by the most wonderful sunsets.
The main resort area of Stoupa has two beautiful sandy beaches ideal for those who enjoy swimming. These are the main town beach and Kalogria, a beautiful bay with freshwater springs that rise up in the sea and make it refreshingly cool in the height of summer.
Many people visit the area in the summer months to enjoy the beaches, tavernas and mountains, however in the winter Stoupa has a more relaxed atmosphere when there is time to enjoy life at a more leisurely pace. The area is ideal for walking and has an abundance of wild flowers along the many footpaths, both close to the sea and in the mountains. An excellent bus services runs throughout the year making it easy to explore the many beautiful unspoilt villages with their traditional stone houses, or even take a trip into Kalamata.
Local services include a very efficient health clinic that is open every day, several private doctors, dentists and pharmacies. The city of Kalamata, the capital of Messinia, provides all the main services you would expect of a city, hospitals, government buildings, financial services, car hire/dealerships, major supermarkets, etc.
